I wanted to draw her for a long time, but never got to until now.

While drawing her, I used Atomic Betty's mom as reference for her body shape. Also she reminds me of Mama B from the cartoon Weird-Ohs. Carmen looks like the type of woman that Betty's mom and Mama B are: they're blondes, have a beauty mark, wear tight pants and high-heeled shoes.

Like Mama B, Carmen owns her own restaurant, Carmen's Diner. I wonder if she also has a Southern accent?
