Katar's arch-enemy Byth Rok once transformed into a Brontodon, a creature that's difficult to subdue. It is also known for its twin-brains.
The Thanagarian Snare Beast was gonna appear in the unmade Superman Lives movie, because executives wanted Superman to fight a giant spiders (which was one of the 3 "rules").
I'll bet on Thanagar, these creatures occasionally bump into each other and try to eat the other.
