I got back from the hospital this afternoon. I got sick Saturday morning. It was my hypokalemic paralysis again, but even with my medicine I wasn't getting any better. So I decided it's best to be taken to the hospital. My mom and sister came.

I was at the ER to take my potassium. I was injected too fast I was having trouble breathing, because it was making my heart go fast and I was shaking from the chills.

I was eventually taken to a room upstairs. Interestingly, the people upstairs know about my condition than the people downstairs, they had no idea about my sickness nor do they even care to find out more about it (except for an Indian doctor who has knowledge of hypokalemia).  The people upstairs explain a lot more to us about my condition than we've known. Eating too much carbohydrates, salty or sugary foods causes my liver to creates insulin which pushes them out and causes the potassium in my body to lower. Also I didn't have enough magnesium in my body which absorbs potassium. At least that's how I recall what they've said. Now I have to be careful more than ever with what I eat. I don't want my mom to be so worried all the time because of my sickness and seeing her cry, feeling like its somehow her fault because my sickness is hereditary from my mom's family. :(
